Ford Aussie Hoops is a basketball development program for young people. An opportunity to acquire and develop new skills, build social development and inclusion, and a lifelong love for the game of basketball and sport. It prepares students with skills and confidence to join a team and play in a local team, progress to representative teams or move into roles such as refereeing or coaching. Most of all Aussie Hoops is about having FUN. Join us to learn about ** Basketball basics * Motor skills * Fitness * Wellbeing * Teamwork ** Programs are run during each school term.

The Suns Academy is a next level skills training program for players and coaches alike. It is an opportunity for players to learn new skills, and develop and fine tune their core skills, in a different setting to the usual club team training, that is different players and coaches with new and exciting training plans. The program's underlying focus is ball handling, footwork, finishing, shooting, strength and fitness; and team play and sportsmanship. The program is in two parts – the Clinics run weekly through the school term, one afternoon per week, and the Academy camps, held during school holidays with guest coaches over multiple days.

Australian National Academy of Music (ANAM) Alumni Lilly Yang (flute) and Elliott Plumpton (violin) team up with Brisbane pianist Mia Huang, to present an afternoon chamber music concert at the Holy Trinity Parish Hall in Fortitude Valley, QLD. Experience the lively sounds of the flute, violin and piano as they come together in perfect harmony. With the spirited chimes of the flute, the delicate plucking of the violin and the powerful hammering of the piano keys, this recital promises to showcase a broad range of mesmerising tone colours. This recital will feature an exciting selection of musical works by adored composers such as Georg Phillip Telemann, Astor Piazzolla, Dmitri Shostakovich and more. Concert start time 3:00PM. Doors open at 2:45PM.

Join us for an unforgettable week of fun, music, friendship and creativity! What's Musical Theatre Bootcamp? Over four days, students will dive into acting, singing and dancing as they work on scenes, songs and choreography from Broadway & West End Musicals. At the end of the week, we'll culminate their work into a showcase for all friends and family to come and watch and support our young artists. The workshop will not be a full stage production of a single musical, but rather a montage of different musical highlights selected to learn and practice specific musical theatre skills. DATES: Mon 14th - Thursday 17th April 2025 TIMES: 9am - 4pm every day WHERE: Indooroopilly COST: $450 WHO: Ages 6-17 (all experience levels welcome) SHOWCASE: Thursday 17th April @ 3pm WHAT TO EXPECT: Students will spend their days being immersed fully into all the three Performing Arts disciplines! We'll workshop scripts and monologues, learn choreography, sing songs and learn all about healthy vocal techniques, harmonies and projection. Students will receive one-on-one coaching on their vocal, dance and acting skills, as well as work in experience-level groups of each. The teachers also will perform in a special showcase and hold a Q&A session for students about the theatre and music industry during one lunchtime - this is a great opportunity for our older students who are interested in a career in the arts to ask any questions! We’ll have morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea breaks each day (food is not provided, please ensure students bring enough food with them). The show will be on Thursday afternoon at 2pm. Join us for an unforgettable five-day adventure where students will step into the world of acting and immerse themselves in theatre and film making. Students will study acting and voice technique and learn the fundamental stagecraft skills, healthy vocal projection and diction needed for powerful stage performances. Students will also dive into the world of film in a very practical way! We will be learning about shots, film set etiquette, and how to work with a camera (both in front and behind). Students will film a self-tape for a mock audition and then work in small groups to shoot a short film. They will be actors in their own short film and also step into a crew role (director, camera operator etc). This program has been developed by professionals as an introduction to the theatre and film industries. This holiday workshop is designed for teens interested in acting, theatre and film-making careers. Students aged 9+ are welcome to enrol, but please keep in mind for younger students that this is a big week with a lot to learn. Doug’s Dojang is excited to offer school holiday workshops to encourage local children to be active, build self-confidence and increase their personal safety skills. We're delighted to be back with these workshops after a very successful series in 2024. All workshops are made possible through the support of Frenchville Sports Club Community Partnership Program. ​​ For the upcoming school holidays, two workshops are being offered on Saturday 12 April: 8.30am: Session 1 for ages 4-7 years 9.30am: Session 2 for ages 8-12 years Both sessions will run from Bauhinia House, on the corner of High and Berserker Streets (North Rockhampton). ​ These are entry-level workshops so no previous experience is necessary ... just bring yourself, some comfortable clothes, a water bottle and a willingness to learn and have fun.

This workshop has been developed to target our girls while they are forming views around their appearance and body. This workshop tackles many topics around body image but most importantly looks at the influence society and the media have on shaping our views around appearance. We will educate your daughter around this and break any myths that exist around the 'perfect' people we see in the media by looking at editing and airbrushing. We will normalise and celebrate diversity by looking at different appearance, body shapes and sizes. We will also help them to appreciate their bodies AND understand that their appearance is such a small part of who they are!!!
