Kids Up Front are experts in running Drama Classes and Performing Arts Holiday Camps having done so for over 20 years in Australia and New Zealand. We offer fun and dynamic drama programs for children to develop confidence, performance skills, communication and creativity as well as having a lot of fun! Register via our website for a Free Trial Drama Class, or add your child to the waiting list! Kids Up Front run after school drama classes for children throughout the North Shore, Ryde, Inner West and Hills District in Sydney. Our after school drama lessons for junior students (Kindy to Year 2) participate in a themed lesson performed for each other each week. Our senior students (Year 3 +) develop performance skills in the first half of the year through improvisation drama games and scene work. In the second half of the year they collaborate with their teacher on a group devised piece to be performed at a real theatre. For many of our students this is the highlight of their year as they shine on stage in front of a live audience. Working together in drama means listening to each other and accepting and extending each others ideas thus helping children develop good social skills and confidence in presenting their own ideas. Developing confidence, creativity and communication skills are very important life skills whatever path in life they choose to take. Do you ever wonder if your child is missing out by not receiving a music education? Do you ever wish you had been given the opportunity? These School Holidays, the Open Academy's Kids at the Con music program is holding School Holiday Workshops for 3-10 year olds! Children will participate in a variety of structured activities including singing, imitation, movement, improvisation, story-telling and guided listening activities, based on the Orff-Schulwerk approach and the Kodaly methods. No prior musical experience is required! Class times vary for different age groups. Classes for ages 3-5 will run for 50-minutes, 5-6 year old workshops run for 3 hours, while the workshops for 6-10 year olds will run for the whole day from 9am-2pm. Please note that each workshop is designed as a one-off session, and material will be repeated across all sessions.
