Wet days still go ahead and will get out on court where possible, otherwise off court activities will be set up for maximum engagement across the day. HOLIDAY ART & CRAFT CLASSES for Primary school attending children 5.5 - 13 YEARS We offer a diverse range of art lessons during school holidays: drawing, painting, printmaking & sculpture.​ All primary school attending children are eligible for holiday classes. Preschoolers are NOT accepted into our holiday program. Programs are uploaded to the START ART SCHOOL website 4 weeks prior to school holidays. CLASS SIZES A maximum of 12 children per art class AGE Children must be attending Primary school and be at least 5.5 years old to attend classes. Cook & Paint Holiday Workshops Location: 8 Antigua Ave, Lake Cathie Dates: Tuesday, 15th April Thursday, 17th April Time: 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM Cost: $50 for 2 hours of fun! Join me for a fun-filled, creative morning! You’ll be making delicious ANZAC biscuits, drawing some Australian animals, and creating an acrylic painting of a cute koala. Kids Up Front run after school drama classes for children throughout the North Shore, Ryde, Inner West and Hills District in Sydney. Our after school drama lessons for junior students (Kindy to Year 2) participate in a themed lesson performed for each other each week. Our senior students (Year 3 +) develop performance skills in the first half of the year through improvisation drama games and scene work. In the second half of the year they collaborate with their teacher on a group devised piece to be performed at a real theatre. For many of our students this is the highlight of their year as they shine on stage in front of a live audience. Working together in drama means listening to each other and accepting and extending each others ideas thus helping children develop good social skills and confidence in presenting their own ideas. Developing confidence, creativity and communication skills are very important life skills whatever path in life they choose to take. Do you ever wonder if your child is missing out by not receiving a music education? Do you ever wish you had been given the opportunity? These School Holidays, the Open Academy's Kids at the Con music program is holding School Holiday Workshops for 3-10 year olds! Children will participate in a variety of structured activities including singing, imitation, movement, improvisation, story-telling and guided listening activities, based on the Orff-Schulwerk approach and the Kodaly methods. No prior musical experience is required! Class times vary for different age groups. Classes for ages 3-5 will run for 50-minutes, 5-6 year old workshops run for 3 hours, while the workshops for 6-10 year olds will run for the whole day from 9am-2pm. Please note that each workshop is designed as a one-off session, and material will be repeated across all sessions.
