This program has been developed to delve deeper into learning about and managing emotions effectively. The girls will gain knowledge around all of the different emotions they feel and why these emotions occur. We will learn how to understand our emotions through many different methods including listening to our physiology, they will be taught the benefits of the 'name it to tame it' theory, we will discuss our amazing brain and what it means to 'flip our lid' and how to prevent that from happening. The girls will also learn multiple calming strategies to assist in moments of high emotion. This program will be jam packed of information and tools for their toolbox. Your daughter's emotional literacy and emotional regulation skills will improve significantly! This is a small group program and will be limited to eight girls. For girls in Year 3-6. The program will run on the following dates: Tuesday 21st January | 9am - 12pm Wednesday 22nd January | 9am - 12pm Thursday 23rd January | 9am - 12pm Registrations will close on 3rd January 2025, unless sold out beforehand. Tween Talk: Navigating Friendships in a Girls' World Sunday 24th November | 1pm-4pm Kawana Island Meeting Place Open to all girls in Year 3-6 (please note you must meet the minimum age criteria) This three hour workshop will focus on relationships between friends, the benefits of friendship and what healthy friendships look and feel like. We will discuss the changing dynamics between tween girls, how to handle issues when they pop up in friendship groups, how to spot a toxic friendship and what to do about it. We will also explore what qualities are important in friendships, how to be a good friend, and identify what characteristics each girl has that makes them a great friends to others.
