At The Farm Byron Bay we encourage kids to enjoy and learn from the surroundings of a real working farm. Farm Kids inspires and educates children through our programs about where food comes from and introduces them to concepts like paddock rotation for the animals, the importance of pollination, organic farming, crops, healthy soil, composting and other ethical farming practices. Children can meet our animals and watch them in their natural surroundings and be amongst our chickens whilst enjoying some of the best things in life, sunshine and fresh air. December January School Holiday Program At the beginning of each workshop we take the children on an educational and fun tour of The Farm. We educate them about our pigs, bees, chickens, flower crops, herb garden, orchard and veggie crops. The children get up close and personal with our pet chickens, pick and taste veggies, edible flowers and herbs. After the tour we head back to the farmhouse where each day has a different point of discussion, cooking, gardening and craft focus. Join us for a fun-filled Summer Holiday Kids Art and Craft program running every week from December 16th to December 31st! Monday: Enjoy creative sessions at the Federal Hall from 10 AM to 1 PM for ages 6-12. Tuesday: In Bangalow, we have a morning session from 10 AM to 12 PM for ages 4-6, followed by Art Club from 1 PM to 4 PM for ages 6-12. Wednesday: Join the Tweens Art Class in Bangalow from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM. In these sessions, kids will explore painting, watercolours, crafts, clay, and drawing while practicing mindfulness and building a new creative community. Term Topic Each term, we develop a set of lesson plans based on a new topic to keep your child engaged. The term topic supports learning of techniques and artistic styles presented in the context of an art movement or famous artist Introducing a fresh topic each term enhances student interest and engagement, accelerating the learning process. The Topic for Term 4 2024 is Post-Impressionism. Enrol now for Term 4. Art Classes starts on Monday 14 Oct 2024 and run for 9 weeks. In Post-Impressionist works, there is often an emphasis on structure and form, with many artists experimenting with geometry, simplified shapes, and unconventional perspectives. This was a shift from the looser, more fluid brushstrokes of the Impressionists, allowing for more deliberate and sometimes abstract compositions. The movement also highlighted the personal vision of each artist. Vincent van Gogh, for instance, used thick, expressive brushstrokes and bold colors to convey his intense emotional states, while Paul Cézanne explored how color and form could be used to depict depth and structure in a way that led to the development of modern art. What Will Students Do & Learn Use of Color for Emotion and Expression: Students will explore how color can be manipulated to express mood and feeling, following the example of artists like van Gogh and Gauguin, who used color symbolically and emotionally. Exploration of Composition and Form: Students will learn techniques for organizing space and forms within a painting. Artists like Cézanne introduced geometric shapes and played with perspective, and students will practice simplifying objects into basic forms to explore composition. Experimentation with Brushwork and Texture: Post-Impressionist artists employed a wide range of techniques, from van Gogh’s thick, dynamic brushstrokes to Seurat’s precise pointillism. The Suns Academy is a next level skills training program for players and coaches alike. It is an opportunity for players to learn new skills, and develop and fine tune their core skills, in a different setting to the usual club team training, that is different players and coaches with new and exciting training plans. The Easts FC Spring Cup Season is returning in 2024 for existing and new members for a 12 week season and we can't wait to see you there! Our traditional Spring Cup Season home of Moore Park Synthetic Field will be closed for the entirety of Term 4. We have been hard at work with the local councils to find a suitable replacement for training and games. We are thrilled to be able to offer the below season. To join our mailing list, please fill out this form (note: this is not a registration). If you have played with is within the last year, you are already on it! Season dates: w/c 9th September to Sunday 15th December. No training or games from 30th September to 13th October during school holidays. Coaching set up training: Football Australia licenced paid coaches will run the training session following a curiculum set out by our Technical Director and Football Australia. Coaching set up games: There are no set coaches for games, parent managers are asked to help run weekend games. A parent coaching tutorial will be set up at the start of the season. We will however provide a coach for each field to help assist any parents. Friend requests: We will be prioritising grading for an even and inclusive playing experience. Some friend requests will be accepted (when training on the same day) - you will be sent a form closer to team creation. Uniform: An Easts FC uniform is mandatory for all games. Teams will wear both the blue and white jerseys throughout the season. Uniforms are NOT included in registration fees. External teams: if you would like to enrol as an external team or are an external club please contact us.

If your daughter is keen to learn the skills of football, or keen to improve existing skills and would prefer doing so in an all girls environment our Girls Only program is for you. Clinics are facilitated by our qualified coaches and your daughter will be nurtured in our professional learning environment. We understand that sometimes girls just want to play with other girls, therefore our girls only program is a great opportunity for your daughter to build up her player confidence, develop her skills, all whilst having fun! Suitable for girls aged 5 - 12 years. Friends are welcome (because we know how important her friendships are!) This program runs for 1 hour.
