Waterwise Swim School, Perth - lessons all year round at our private facility in Willetton. Drowning Prevention for babies, young children and adults is our first priority.

We teach a revolutionary survival swim program developed in the USA. Infants and young children get safe around water in weeks, not years, then go on to become above-average little swimmers who love the water.

Unfortunately traditional swim lessons are designed to get children comfortable in water but it can take several years in lessons before children learn enough to save themselves if they got to water unseen and unheard. They are still at risk in that time. On average, one child under the age of 5 drowns every week in Australia. Many of them have had swimming lessons from a young age but have not learned how to survive in water.

We have lessons for newborns through to adults, focus is on drowning prevention and maximum progress.

We would love to help you reach your swimming goals.

Lessons from 8 weeks to 99 years. There is something for everyone at Waterwise.

Drowning prevention is the focus. From there, we teach stroke development, then endurance and fitness. We also offer specialised courses for adults such as HUET or Navy entrance requirements. Talk to us about your swimming goals and we will help you reach them in a fun environment and as fast tracked as possible. It doesn't have to take years to learn how to swim well!

    Targeted lessons that improve skills and confidence
    I am so pleased we found Waterwise Swim School. We had become frustrated with the overcrowded and noisy nature of rec centre lessons which only served to make our young swimmers (then aged 3 and 5) more anxious. The staff at Waterwise are calm, good humored and know how to tailor their time to the needs of their students. Watching our boys love of swimming grow along with their skills and confidence has been an absolute joy. Can't recommend Waterwise highly enough.

    Having previously shown very little progression with other swimming lesson providers, I was very concerned that my 7 year old son was falling behind in his water survival skills. Upon recommendation from a friend, I enrolled him at WaterWise Willetton and has since, seen his confidence increase and his skills improve vastly. His swimming instructor Stacy is firm, nurturing and encouraging. If you are looking for a swim school that will give results, I highly recommend enrolling your child at WaterWise.

    Swim school with amazing results!
    We’ve loved watching our now almost 3 year old develop into a confident water loving little boy! The survival course and the results are amazing, much better than what’s most ordinary swim schools offer! Can’t recommend Waterwise and the friendly team enough!!

    Fantastic
    Moved here from the South West with a child who didn’t like swimming. Now he is swimming like a fish and loves lessons and my other child is one of the best swimmers in his year at school thanks to Wendy and Stacey

    Adult Swimming
    I contacted my local leisure center and was told no one was available at the time to teach me how to swim,left my contact details and never heard from them.I went online and rang 2 other places before I finally found someone willing to help.Stacy was the first person I contacted who sounded like she actually cared and referred me to Wendy and together I achieved my goal in less time than I thought possible. I will be forever grateful for the help of these ladies and would highly recommend them to anyone wanting to learn how to swim.Their knowledge,compassion and communication skills has saved me from potentially loosing my dream job.

    The Danger of Flotation Aids

    The Danger of Flotation Aids If you have a pool at home, or spend a lot of time around water, please do not rely on arm bands, vests or other flotation aids to keep your child safe! The only way a child is safe in water, is if they have the skills to save themselves. Jackson was a little boy who loved to swim in his puddle jumper but drowned when he wasn't supposed to be swimming. His mom now advocates for survival swim lessons and warns parents not to use aids that promote false security.
