Tim Nelson Music
As a teacher of piano for over 25 years Tim Nelson has taught preschool age, primary, secondary and adult students. He has diverse interests in music, including classical, rock, blues, musical theatre, computer music, jazz, raclette, reggae and latin. His goal in teaching is to establish solid foundational skills in music, focussing on reading music, technique, good listening skills and theoretical knowledge. He has found these to be very important in his professional experience as a performing musician. Tim is based Gordon (near Ballarat)

    Very, very happy
    I am a late re-entrant (72 years old) to piano playing, and found Tim through an online search. He has been fantastic! He is firm but flexible, patient and tolerant, knowledgeable about why pieces are written as they are, shows me why and how particular lines should be phrased and fingered, and has introduced me to pieces that I simply didn't know existed. Not only that, his whole family is delightful too.
