Joanne28-10-2015RatedReport Review5GREAT DAY FOR THE FAMILYMy family were recently at The Australiana Pioneer Village, so much to do, not enough hours to do it all, will definitely be going back. Loved the Animal Feed Walk, Going back to School in the 1800s, didn't get the cane thank goodness, the re-enactment was fun, lovely Volunteers who are passionate about the Village. Great shops, brought lollies, souvenirs, had damper in the Damper Camp what a pretty place to sit in we had lunch at the Oxboro Inn, food was so reasonable and tasty. The kids all enjoyed the horse and cart ride. Glad we decided to goAnswer from The Australiana Pioneer Village on 05-05-2016:we are glad that you had a great time. We look forward to seeing you next time.

Liz22-10-2015RatedReport Review5A step back in timeAbsolutely loved this place , a step back in time to the 1800's of what Australia used to be like. So much to look at and learn. Lots of activities for kids to participate in. My kids loved going on the animal feeding walk to feed the village animals, they had a sulky ride around the village. We watched the reenactments in the village street and kids can even participate in them. We experienced old world charm in the 'Damper Camp' restaurant, where we had afternoon tea of Damper, cockies joy & billy tea, at a very reasonable cost. The buildings are furnished as they would of been from that era, and each has their own bit of history. Lovely big picnic grounds if you want to take your own food, with bbqs available. Cheap entry into the place, a great place to keep all your family amused and have a relaxing day. We are definitely going back again!Answer from The Australiana Pioneer Village on 05-05-2016:glad that you had a great day out at the village all our volunteers put a lot of effort into being at the village.

Robyn22-10-2015RatedReport Review5Living our HeritageWhat a fantastic place to see our heritage being preserved by knowledgable and passionate people. It was a chance for our children to experience the life of their great grandparents. We dressed in period costume for a photograph and had the most devious Devonshire tea. The blacksmith was a real hit with my son, he was so willing to share his knowledge with a 10 year old. My daughter loved the carriage ride so much she went on 3 times. The entry price is so reasonable $15.00 for the family... It usually costs me a small fortune to go out for the day. Well done to all involved.Answer from The Australiana Pioneer Village on 05-05-2016:It is always great to hear your feedback. glad that you had a great day hope to see you again.

Danielle21-10-2015RatedReport Review5Great day for kidsThis is a great place to take kids. Loads of room to run around, wonderful old buildings that show how ordinary Australians used to live, horse and cart rides, train rides, good food, picnic areas, an old school house, plenty of free parking and cheap as chips. Its run by volunteers who are friendly, knowledgeable and passionate about the place. Definitely worth the drive!Answer from The Australiana Pioneer Village on 05-05-2016:Glad you had a great day at the village. Yes I have to agree that our volunteers are all very passionate. As you said plenty to do there for the family.

Lesley George21-10-2015RatedReport Review5Great value for a family fun day out . . .A visit to The Australiana Pioneer Village is a must for anyone of us with children or grandchildren - it is such great value for the very cheap entry fee - just $3 for the little ones and $5 for we adults - you can even get a Family Pass for just $15 that includes 2 children and 2 adults. Once inside The Village you get 27 acres to play in - look through the authentic houses, Church, shops, eateries, walk around the lagoon, see all the animals, crack a whip, have a picnic, see the ladies making butter or home-made lemonade, see a shearing and spinning demonstration and take part in a re-enactment - or pay just a few dollars for an old fashioned horse and cart ride - we find it exceptionally good value and the children love it - it's easy to spend the whole day there - and they always want to go back again !!!Answer from The Australiana Pioneer Village on 05-05-2016:glad you had a great day at the Australiana Pioneer Village. All our volunteers work hard to provide visitors with a great day with plenty for all the family to do. Hope to see you there again soon.

Jacqueline07-10-2015RatedReport Review5Fun for KidsMy kids loved this place. They did a treasure hunt, ride on a horse and carriage, tasted damper, watched butter being made, and were convicts in the re-enactment. Entry for a family was on $15 which is really cheap considering everything that is there. We did have to pay for the horse and carriage ride which was $3 pp. Will definitely be back. We we'll be back!Answer from The Australiana Pioneer Village on 08-07-2016:glad you enjoyed your day. As this review was posted last year hope you have been back otherwise just to let you know that this school holidays we have a dinosaur display among other things so tell your friends.
