Structured Learning
To guide you effectively in your goals through 6 levels of learning.

Hear & Play
You will learn to play songs by hearing them and not reading them.

Group Lessons
You will learn in a social environment, to share your goals and daily progress with fellow class mates.

Guitar students in all lessons will develop skills in:
Ear Training: To help us compose, memorise a composition, improvise with ease, transcribe our favourite songs and write our own songs.

Performance: Melody, accompaniment, improvisation.

Harmony: Music theory to help us play and compose with uniqueness using the guitar as our tool.

Educational objectives
After completing the first two levels, you will be able to choose a song you like, figure out its chords in any key, play the melody, play a simple solo and perform the song in a group setting as lead or rhythm guitar. Furthermore you will also be able to compose simple songs.

This is all great fun, and it requires a structured pathway and your commitment to learning.

Your final goal is to play the guitar in contemporary styles of music, but creating artistic expression as a soloist, accompanist and composer. Therefore the more levels you complete of your Sydney Guitar lessons the more diversified your artistic expression will be.
