The aim of the Summer holiday programs is to help alleviate some of the pressures for parents and getting the children out of the house, positively connecting with other young people in an active, energetic, safe environment during the January school break. We see this as a great opportunity to help and serve families in the western sydney area. This year we are hosting the program in three locations:
- Penrith
- Blacktown
- Mount Druitt

Each day will have a positive focus such as: Control, Courage, Awareness, Perseverance which influence how children can apply each word to their life. Each day from will be run something like this:

All in Games & Challenges
Morning Tea
Life Skills - Nutrition, communication, Making positive choices,
Electives - Sport,Drama,Art,Music,Dance, Decorating (Electives will vary each day)
Motivational Talk
Lunch
Awards & Prizes

The team co-ordinating the program are Salvation Army volunteers aged 16-25 led by Salvation Army employees. All have undergone appropriate children's checks aligning with Salvation Army policy.
