Description
We are Mandurah's oldest established martial arts club (1978). While we have a traditional background, our students study in a contemporary environment. Our core art is Goju Ryu karate (one of the 4 original styles from the islands of Okinawa) we integrate amongst other aspects:
- Close in attack and defensive training
- Groundwork
- Weapons (fighting stick, knife defence)
- Street scenario education as well.

We are one of 7 clubs in the South West Goju Ryu Association throughout the South West of WA. Our association has been in place for 50 years.
Our aim is to provide support and encouragement to the student developing their self confidence, improve physical and mental well being, reduce stress and to be the best person they can.
All our coaches are nationally accredited.
We have an innovative, fun and challenging programs for teenagers and junior students who can start training at the age of 7 years.

A message to Adults:
Have you had to taper down or given up your favourite sport as you get older? Want to keep or improve on your general health and wellbeing as an adult? Thought about training in the Martial Arts (Karate) as a way to improve/maintain your fitness, flexibility, mental strength and help reduce stress and tension? you can begin a journey to develop and maintain these strengths as you get older in contrast to all other sports and fitness activities. Training in our accredited Karate school offers you a brand new perspective, tackling your physical fitness, health, and wellness as the years come upon you.
Mandurah Goju Ryu Karate is not a Fitness Gym or Mixed Martial Arts orientated environment, you will be studying a martial art where the environment while physically and mentally challenging with energised sessions, will be safe and encourages you to extend yourself in all areas.
