The Sports Initiative Development Academy (SIDA) offers highly focused and comprehensive basketball service to players aged 4-18 and from beginner to elite level. The principle objective of SIDA is to ensure that all of our clients have strong basketball fundamentals that will set them up for success and develop into the "Complete Individual," through the direct and indirect teachings of life skills that occur in the process of learning the game. SIDA is committed to providing a positive basketball experience for each and every participant as we believe that Sport is to enjoy!

Our goal is to curb two major factors within the Sporting Community:
1. Inadequate coaching from a base of inexperience and lack of knowledge
2. Close the gap between male and female athletes via our methodological approach to teaching females as well as our FEMALE DEVELOPMENT ELITE PROGRAM.

SIDA is :
 Providing knowledgeable and experienced coaches to teams, schools, individuals and other organizations.
 Educating junior and parent coaches in their understanding of the game and the coaching role
 Providing an environment that is welcoming and considerate towards ALL female athletes
 Providing various basketball programs - TEAM COACHING, FEMALE DEVLP, SKILLS & 1-1 TRAINING, HOLIDAY CAMPS, FREE PRIMARY/SECONDARY PE BASKETBALL CLINICS.
 Assisting athletes with the achievement of their basketball goals through high-intensity training, game analysis, and college recruitments.

    SIDA Camps
    My son hates basketball holiday camps. I signed him up to the SIDA Spring camp after hearing about it from a friend - I was so surprised he came back home so positive, saying how good it was. Thanks SIDA, I will definitely re-enrol next camp.

    Best Coaching Ever
    This is the best coaching organisation in Melbourne. I took my little girl down to the SIDA skills training session and after about 5 sessions noticed her confidence, skills and IQ improve 50 folds. I have enrolled my child in other coaching programs with no result to show for it. I love that SIDA is result driven and that the kids improve while having a lot of fun!
