The SHINBUKAN offers high quality instruction and training in a variety of Japanese martial arts and disciplines. The Academy was founded in May 1978 to continue the handed down traditions of Igaryu Ninjutsu, Goju-Ryu Karate-Do, Shintoryu Iai-Do and Aiki-Jujutsu. It aims to develop the arts carefully and spread them further so that a new generation may become its masters and in turn teach the next generation.

For men, women and children. The traditional style of Saito Ha Goju Ryu Karate Do originating from Okinawa develops very high levels of strength spiritually, mentally and physically, and improves health and vitality. It also teaches self-defense and discipline to the highest degree. Dojo classes and private lessons are available. Benefits include fitness, toning and suppleness.

Students from other styles are welcome to train.
You don't need to be fit to commence training.
You don't need to be strong to train.
Kids must be 5 and above to join.

The Sensei of SHINBUKAN AUSTRALIA, Mr Crando (Kazuo) Saito, has had extensive experience in the martial arts since 1957 and is currently the highest ranking 10th dan karate master in Australia.

Sensei Saito is the 16th Grandmaster of Igaryu Ninjutsu, Grandmaster of Goju-Ryu Karate Do, 7th Dan Master of Shintoryu Iai-Do, Isshinryu Aiki-Jujutsu Soshi and has also reached Hanshi 8th dan Sports Chanbara (weapons combat) and Hanshi 8th dan Tameshigiri Iaido. Sensei Saito is also a Shingon Buddhist Monk.
