Description

The Richmond Water Polo Club was established in 1921 and has a proud tradition of supporting community involvement and sporting excellence in Melbourne. We warmly welcome prospective members from around Melbourne both experienced and new to the sport.

Teams currently entered into the Water Polo Victoria competitions are U12 Mixed, U14, U16 & U18 Boys and Girls as well as both women's and men's State League teams.

Richmond send teams to tournaments around Victoria as well as interstate and to the National Youth Water Polo Championships each year providing our members opportunities to compete at all levels.

In addition to competition teams Richmond runs a training academy. The aim of this academy is to provide extra training to those wanting to focus on improving specific skills and strategies.

Competitions start in February, May and September. Training runs throughout the year. Prospective members are encouraged to contact the club via our website and come and meet us at a match or training session.

Ready to make a splash this Term? Juniors aged 7-13, it’s time to dive into the fun with our Term 1 FlippaBall Competition!

Starts February 7
 (Seven action-packed sessions: Feb 7, 14, 21, 28, Mar 14, 21, 28
)
Time: 6:45-7:45pm (dryland warm-up from 6:30pm)

Cost: $100 for the full season or $20 per session

What is FlippaBall?

FlippaBall is a beginner-friendly, non-contact version of Water Polo, tailored for kids 13 and under. With a shorter season, modified rules, and a focus on fun, it’s the perfect starting point for young players!

  Have been wanting to get my kids started with water polo and these guys have been super responsive. Went to a training session and they loved it.
