Peninsula Gymnastics - Teaching Movement For Life!

Peninsula Gymnastics is a place where all ages and abilities are welcome and where our vision is “teaching movement for life”. We strongly believe that gymnastics should be a foundation sport for all children, where they are taught essential skills which can be transferred across to all other athletic endeavours. Gymnastics provides fantastic physical and psychological learning opportunities, in a safe environment, to aid in each child’s development. Throughout all of our programs participants will be taught to land and fall safely (think safety on playgrounds and in the backyard), correct rolling technique (think taking that catch in cricket), creating power and jumping (think defending in basketball) and agility skills (think fast movements in netball or lifesaving). Quite often in other sports the detail of these skills is not a focus and is not taught. Peninsula Gymnastics enables participants the time and provides the knowledge for expediential improvement in these areas.

Our mission is to provide a fun and safe environment for participants of all ages to develop essential skills to assist in their development regardless of their current ability. All classes run at Peninsula Gymnastics are specifically designed to meet the needs of the participants at their unique stage of development.

Peninsula Gymnastics is affiliated with Gymnastics Victoria and Gymnastics Australia and offers gymnastics to boys and girls through every developmental stage, from beginning to walk through to adults’ classes. All members are registered with Gymnastics Australia upon receipt of their registration fee. Peninsula Gymnastics’ staff are nationally accredited with Gymnastics Australia and are continually working to update and refine their coaching skills.
