Follow a map to find lots of ghostly games to play including a Zombie Run, the Dreaded Spiders Web and the Spooky grove. Every spook will take home their very own show bag containing an assortment of spooky things! Starting out from the main Gazebo at Hyde Park this event for 6-12 year olds is all shivery fun!
Entry is $5.50 per little monster!
To enter click here.
So what to expect?
Come to the park 10 minutes before your start wave all dressed up for a spooky time in the park. You don't have to dress up but it is more fun that way! Your little monsters, ghouls and ghosts require at least one parent or guardian with them during the days activities. You will all be given a map to help you get from one game to the next. Expect to play some fun games such as Skull Coconut Shy and Monster Mash, there will be a Zombie run as well!
For every game you complete you get a special punch on your map. Once you have played each game you can finish and receive your Halloween goody-bag!
Please note there is very limited parking near Hyde park. We recommend to take public transport or park in the city and walk in to Hyde Park.
Entries are limited to 500, get in quick, don't you miss out!

Mountain bike orienteering (MTBO) is a navigation sport suitable for participants of all ages and abilities. Like foot orienteering, the idea is to navigate your way around a series of checkpoints (controls) using a map and compass. Unlike foot orienteering, the idea is to ride a bike! The main difference is that in Australia, mountain bikes have to stay on tracks, so the style of navigation can be quite different to the cross-country navigation used in foot orienteering.
Several courses are available, ranging from 10-30 km in length. At the top end of the field, competitors need good technical bike handling skills and the ability to navigate at speed. However, the shorter courses are easily achievable by beginners, non-mountain bikers and families.

Nav Dash
Nav Dash events, Orienteering WA's Sprint Orienteering Series are short distance (2-3.5 km's), usually held in a small, compact area with complex features, such as the buildings and passages of a university campus. While the navigation skills required are relatively easy – even for novices – at a slow jog or walking pace, the more serious competitors try to run their course at high speed. This makes the navigation much more demanding and it is easy to make small mistakes of a few seconds, which makes all the difference in these fast events!
There will be several events in the 2015 Nav Dash Series at regular intervals during Autumn and Winter, culminating in the State Sprint Championships later in the year.
