Since 1974, the Open Academy at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music has opened the doors of the Conservatorium to the community through a wide range of programs, courses and workshops for school students, musicians, music teachers and to all those who are interested in learning more about music. The Open Academy offers a range of courses and classes to people aged 3 to 93! There is something for everyone - whether you are a young child wanting to learn an instrument or join a group class, a life-long learner wanting to start on music or pick it up again, or a talented young student wanting more performance opportunities. Price details: Classes for 3-5yr olds are $355 for an 8 week term Classes for 5-10yr olds are $410 for an 8 week term

Parental Supervision: Required

Music is so much more than just playing an instrument. The music skills of listening, understanding, creating and enjoying music play a key role in a child’s development and should be experienced by all children. Using action songs, body percussion, story-telling and guided listening activities, our teacher will engage your child in a musical world that can lead to a life enriched by music.

Term 1 starts Saturday 15th February or Wednesday 19th February, and will run for 8 weeks.

Open to students aged 3-10, the Kids at the Con classes serve as a fantastic introduction to music class where students are engaged and are free to explore their musical creativity in a welcoming and non-competitive environment.

No prior experience necessary!
