Normanhurst Eagles Football Club is one of the largest football clubs in north west Sydney with over 50 mini, junior and senior teams with more than 600 male and female players. Normo Eagles is a family friendly, community based club and we pride ourselves in providing opportunities for all grades and types of football players, from 5 years young to 50+ years young; from social players to elite standard; girls, boys, mixed, women and men.

Focus on Girl's Football:

Normanhurst Eagles first introduced all-girls football in 2018. We scraped together two composite teams and kept the focus on having fun and improving. At the end of the season, all the girls said they were keen to come back again in 2019 - our most important aim for the season was met!

In 2019 we did some promotion during summer and off the back of that, tripled the playing numbers, so were able to field full teams from U7 to U11. This year a combination of playing in the right age groups plus weekly training with the help of professional female coaches alongside the parents, saw all the teams more than hold their own and have very successful seasons. Most importantly though, again everyone said they enjoyed themselves and not only did all players return for 2020, but we again doubled our numbers.

As well as playing, we organise groups to go to football related events and matches (all these COVID permitting of course), hold incursions into schools to promote the game and have social events throughout the year. Our ethos is all about the girls having fun, making new friends, getting fit and building confidence. For those girls who want to take it to the next level, we also have development pathways in place as both players or coaches, so one day we may even produce the next Sam Kerr, Alana Kennedy or Liz Ellis!
