Our puppeteers have received advanced training in the USA under Jim Henson puppeteers from The Muppets and Sesame Street!

We provide our zany and always crowd pleasing comedy-variety puppet show, a story time puppet show, a puppet MC service, puppetry for film and TV, a sock puppet making craft workshop and a hands on puppetry performance training workshop!

Larrikin Puppets won BEST KIDS LIVE SHOW at the 2021 National Whats On 4 Kids Awards, and also won two additional awards for Best Local School Aged Activity (5-12 years) Peoples Choice Winner and Highly Commended.

Well known in the childcare, library, school and festival circuits, Larrikin Puppets is a flourishing puppetry arts enterprise established in 2012.

Larrikin Puppets popular puppet shows (performed by Brett Hansen and Elissa Jenkins) are colourful and exciting theatre performances for children and their families featuring intriguing characters, catchy original songs (heard on Spotify, iTunes, Kinderling, Little Rockers Radio), funny skits, jokes, games and live interaction. Our puppeteers have received training in the USA under Jim Henson puppeteers from The Muppets and Sesame Street.

Highly entertaining and captivating, Larrikin Puppets fast-paced, feel-good puppetry celebrates fun, kindness and play while nurturing child development, encouraging audiences to talk, dance, sing and play along with wide eyed wonder, joy and laughs from beginning to end.

Brett and Elissa are also film & TV puppeteers. They performed puppetry in the music videos for "Cheap Seats" by ILLY feat. WAAX (Sony Music Australia), and "Best Friends Forever" by REGURGITATOR'S POGOGO SHOW (ABC Kids), as well as TV series "The Bureau of Magical Things" (Network Ten).
