Junior Strings of Banyule is a music ensemble that gives young string players a chance to experience the excitement and fun of playing music in a group. Professional educators are employed as the conductor and string tutors, and a varied repertoire of classical, popular and original compositions and arrangements are used. JSB aims to help young players build playing confidence, enhance music reading skills and experience music in a fun and positive environment.

Junior Strings of Banyule player standard is AMEB Grade 1-5 (or equivalent) and we rehearse every Wednesday evening during term time, 5.00-6.30pm, at St James' Parish Centre, 252 Upper Heidelberg Rd, Ivanhoe (opp. The Centre).

    Amazing String Ensemble
    Young musicians have a great opportunity to meet other young musicians. Build playing confidence. Enhance music reading skills. Play music in a fun and positive environment. Tutorials conducted by qualified violin/viola/cello teachers. It is just the best place for young players to start their ensemble playing.
