Description

I am Patrizia Livia Cristina Bini. I have lived in Italy for 20 years and taught Italian for over 10. Principally I use a method which 'teaches you as you go'. It is primarily an audio method, in which students are fed small amounts of vocabulary with explanations of how they are structured in sentences. Little by little the teacher then invites students to make their own sentences. This means that students are thinking and speaking in the target language from Day 1. This process is supplemented with conversation, reading, videos, text book exercises. Homework is a key element of the process, because those who do homework are those that go a long way. A flash card system is used for homework, meaning the amount of total time needed for homework is minimal, but effective.

I am launching a group course for beginners which will begin on 24 May. It is held in the evening, from 5.30 to 7.30 and will continue for 10 weeks. The price for groups of 5 people is $230.00 for the 10 weeks, payable in advance.

Asking for and giving personal details
Numbers, colours, clothes, weather, food.
Talking about jobs
Talking about family
Going to the bar
Talking about preferences.
Grammar covered will be
pronunciation and spelling
masculine, feminine, singular and plural forms of nouns, definite and indefinite articles and adjectives
word order
questions
negatives
present simple conjugation of common verbs
subject pronouns.
friendly and polite forms of
'you'
