Forest Flying is a unique ecotourism experience situated next to the Finch Hatton Gorge section of Eungella National Park west of Mackay and the Whitsunday Islands. Glide up to 25 metres high on a flying fox through the rainforest where you are in control of your speed. Each tour takes about an hour to an hour and a half to complete and includes practice session, bush walk with "tucker talk", rainforest platform and the main cables of 230 metres and 110 metres.
This activity is suitable for children from 10 years up to 100 years. Weight restrictions apply. The experience is designed to give participants the opportunity to observe the rainforest from a new angle. It is a controlled, slow, ride although there are places where speed can be increased (for the adrenaline junkie). Wear red to attract the Ulysses butterfly - also great for photos. Cameras, hats and glasses need to be attached (we'll help you with this). Wear closed in shoes.
