Evolution Jujutsu believes in teaching a set of highly effective self-defence skills that can be learnt quickly by everyone, with the aim of enabling complete beginners to build to a basic level of self defence in as little as 3 months. Each program whether its 5-7, 8-11, 12-17 years or adults is setup to be age appropriate and balances the physical side of martial arts with the mental aspects of a young persons development. This includes learning to be self-disciplined and being responsible for their own actions.

Leadership Program
One of the most important aspects we offer to all students is the opportunity to be apart of the Leadership Program, which runs through all age groups and all levels. Your child’s confidence will grow they start as an Assistant Leader, Leader and work their way up to Junior Instructor. Learning valuable skills such as facilitating skills to small groups and public speaking, which will help in all areas of their development. Nothing makes us more proud than to see our young people take control in leading a class.

Self Defence for Children (5-7 yrs Silver Dragons & 811 yrs Golden Dragons)
High energy, Interactive Learning! We all learn when we are having fun! This is especially true for young people. We ensure all children’s classes include interactive games aimed at developing coordination, concentration and teamwork to name a few.
All Evolution Jujutsu Students receive a Syllabus for their age group that allows them to record their progress and prepare for the next grading. The syllabus is written in easy to understand language with illustrations, so they can also practice in their own time.

Self Defence for Teenagers (12-17 years)
As young people enter the teenage program, new skills are introduced such as defence from armed attacks, joint locks and how to deal with multiple attackers. Concepts such as distancing and taking balance are refined.
