Our Duncraig TaeKwonDo club was established in 1987 in the Duncraig SHS Gym/Hall and is where we still train and run classes today. First Taekwondo Duncraig teaches the original, non-competitive style of Taekwondo, which emphasises practical self-defence skills and the physical / mental development of our members. Our members train twice weekly and also have the option of attending other First Tae Kwon Do classes at other venues throughout the week at no extra cost.

Benefits

First Tae Kwon Do is a non-competitive, traditional martial art as such it extends further than just a system of Self Defence. The mental training, physical discipline and diverse techniques of First Taekwondo also provide for creating in the martial artist a sense of self-confidence, resilience, humility compassion and tenacity. It is this vigorous conditioning that separates the true martial artist from someone who has only mastered the physical characteristics of Taekwondo.

    Having moving over from Singapore 2 years ago, I commenced training at First Tae Kwon Do Duncraig. I checked out a few other Tae Kwon Do schools in the area and found their Instructors lacked experience, structure and professionalism. My Instructor at Duncraig has over 35 years experience and you can tell by the way the class is run. Come down and check it our for yourself - Adults Thursday 6-7pm and Saturdays 10-11am

    Traditional Martial arts training
    My son has tried a couple of martial arts schools in the area and they run them like a fitness class. No structure, no traditional teaching and you can see its a lack of experience from the instructor. First Taekwondo Duncraig is the exact opposite with the Senior Instructor having 25 years as a black belt and consistently teaching the traditional art. This has helped my son grow strong , confident and most importantly develop skills to be able to defend himself. I would thoroughly recommend this club as it was life changing for my Son.

    Welcoming community
    The people of First TKD are an extremely welcoming and caring group of people. My son and I were welcomed in from day 1. Our fitness has improved markedly as has our technique in TKD. The Instructors are great people giving their time willingly. I'm very glad that we chose First TKD - I wish we'd done it sooner!

    Traditional martial arts school
    Many pretenders out their practicing traditional Tae Kwon do who have less than 10 years experience and no master!! This school is the real deal all instructors have long term experience and are constantly trained under a traditional master!

    Great self defence for kids
    This is a terrific class for children to learn self defence skills. My child has being going to first taekwondo duncraig lessons for a couple of years now and looks forward to it every week.
