Floreat Surf Lifesaving Club is a voluntary organisation that operates lifesaving services on Floreat Beach with the aim to minimise injury and loss of life to beach users by means of qualified patrol members. We offer a junior programme's starting with Nippers ages 6 to 13 and then Cadets from14 to 17 years. The Surf Life Saving movement in Western Australia was founded at Cottesloe Beach in 1909, in response to a number of drownings on the beach. Over the next 20 years a number of additional clubs commenced operation around the metropolitan and regional coast.
