Over the years, I've focused more and more on the core, basic skills in BMX - and the more we develop these, the more I've found that young riders can learn tricks faster and safer down the line. Most people think of sport as athletic and art/music as creative. I think Action Sports offers both. As mentioned above, it aids physical development, but the very nature of the sport encourages a level of personal creativity not offered in traditional “stick & ball” sports. There are no rules and no set way to do things. You can create your own style, invent a trick, be different to your friends and leave your own impression.

This is possible because the ramp is tall enough - it gives you the room to do this. The 6ft tall ramp has an transition face of 8-9ft to work up on, depending on how steep it is. A 3ft ramp for example, gives you only 4ft of room to practice on - giving you little option rather than going straight down it.

You need to stay on your bike / scooter / skateboard or other wheeled device at all times. Don’t leave your equipment around the park, the ramps are NOT slippery slides, and the park is not a running track. Running around the park will only get in the way of other users.
