Newstead Athletics Inc. (previously known as the Newstead Harrier Club) is based in Launceston, and is northern Tasmania's longest running athletics club, having been established in 1933. It is also the second oldest in the state with Hobart's Sandy Bay club starting up 6 years earlier.
