The park has a rich history of Aborignal occupation and more recently forestry operation. Today it conserves a diversity of plants and animals including a number of threatened species and endangered ecological communities. Enjoy a picnic at Astills Picnic Area and explore the Kurri Sand Swamp Woodland. A great way to see the park is by bicycle.
