We operate by appointment only. No walk ins.

Established in 2002 by Brendan and Natalie Hains, Caroline Springs School of Music is the biggest and best music school in the western suburbs of Melbourne.

We offer lessons in all instruments and singing with qualified teachers who all have working with children checks.

Our external exam results are the highest in Australia.

We also run a highly successful toddlers program on weekdays and Saturdays. For graduates of our toddlers program we run a bridging course to further prepare students for private one on one lessons.

We are experts in ANZCA, AMEB, VCE and tertiary preparation.

Our highly successful program can be tailored to suit your individual needs. All students at our school are given regular performance and competition opportunities.

In addition to our one on one instrumental program we have choirs and instrumental groups to allow students to learn and perform with each other.

We were voted Melbourne's best music school in 2016. We also sell and repair all musical instruments, we stock a wide range of musical instruments, books and accessories. For regular tips and musical advice follow our blogs on the website.
Our one on one instrumental lessons run weekdays from 1 pm to 10 pm and weekends 8 am to 5 pm.

All of our studios are comfortable with air conditioning, heating and fully acoustically engineered soundproofing.

    Tips to encourage your child to practice playing a musical instrument

    It never ceases to amaze me how much difficulty some parents find in encouraging their child to practice playing a musical instrument. Very few younger aged students will practice of their own volition. Not many five year old kids will say to their parents “Now please excuse me, I am about to head into my room to practice the piano for the next hour or two”. However, we have found that the more actively parents are involved, the more the child will feel there is a reason to practice.
