The Bracken Ridge Swimming Club was established almost 40 years ago. There are 2 sides to our services:
- Swim School & Squads and
- Swimming Club & Competition.

The Swim School offers Swimming classes for Babies, toddlers and then 4 additional levels of Learn to Swim. We also offer a number of different levels of squads for swimmers to become stroke proficient and develop fitness and train for competition.

Participants in the Swim School & Squads can optionally join our swimming club which meets each Tuesday night for members to compete against others at a similar level. We also offer opportunities for swimmers to compete in interclub competitions as well as District, State and National Events.

We continually strive to develop each and every individual to their highest potential, applying fundamental teaching and learning principals. This is facilitated by using developmentally appropriate activities, with sound sequential progressions and providing a stimulating, conducive environment.

Through our swim school we aim to:
- teach survival techniques and water safety
- build fitness, endurance, muscle strength and cardio-vascular health
- develop life skills such as self discipline and resilience
- improve agility and co-ordination

The club is a community based incorporated association made up of people interested in swimming and other aquatic activities. The main aim of the club is to promote the sport of swimming by providing tuition and competition within a framework that also encourages community co-operation.

The club's mission is:
To provide programs and activities that promote - family and friendship; fun and fitness; competition and improvement; and a healthy lifestyle.

We operate all year round from the Bracken Ridge State School with 2 heated swimming pools .
