ABOUT US
We have been renting our equipment and teaching people to windsurf, sail, kayak and paddle board since 1989. Balmoral beach is located on Sydneys lower north shore. Balmoral is the harbours premiere beach and ideal spot to catch the prevailing north-easterly sea breezes. We are open year round but our peak season is from September through to April. Call us to check the weather and equipment availability. When hiring you will need to provide us with photo ID. You do need to be able to sail confidently when you hire from us.
On arrival at the sailing school you will need to sign in (online form). On completion of the form and after payment our helpful staff will fit you with buoyancy aids and take you down to the beach and your equipment.
The sailing area will be described and shown to you by one of our sailing instructors. You are required for safety reasons to stay in the sailing area.
We will provide rescue cover at all times when any equipment

We are a registered Australia Sailing Centre. To work at Balmoral you will need to be a qualified Water Sports instructor. We run dinghy, windsurfing, Paddle boarding and kayaking courses for both adults and children. If you are multi-qualified thats even better!
You will also need to hold a valid powerboat licence and first aid ticket. We will need to see proof of your qualifications. (It does not matter which governing body issued your certificates).

Our season runs from September to May with the peak season being November-February.
