The Australian TaeKwon-Do Ki-DoKan International is associated to the (ITF-HQ Korea) this is the homeland of the International TaeKwon-Do Federation as founded by the late General Choi Hong Hi.

Sabum Mr Edward Scott is a 4th dan Black Belt in the ITF taekwon-do system and is in preparation for his 5th dan Black Belt. He teaches the ITF system of taekwon-do to all beginners that include children and adults alike. The main focus is on the 5 tenants of ITF which is respect, perseverance, integrity, self-control, indomitable spirit. Discipline is gained through repetitious of patterns, fundamental movements, focus mitt training on kicks and punches, and calisthenics that will assist all participants in strength and balance.

TaeKwon-Do classes are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 4.30pm to 6pm and involve students completing a whole range of exercises to prepare the body and mind for concentration and movements. The session after exercises will begin with fundamental movements that incorporate punching, striking, pushing and grasping and as well as all types of jumping, flying and stationary kicks and single, double and treble kicks. Also a combination of kick, strikes and punches. While also performing pre-arranged sparring that reinforces already learned blocking (defensive) hand and foot skills on ones' own or with a partner who will also repeat the same maneuvers. Patterns are also learned and practiced for memory recall and to improve ability and progress onto other more challenging techniques. Self-defence is taught so that instincts will prevail for whenever the time comes when one has to rely on ones own ability to overcome the fear that is associated with an assault from a person or persons within our community.

All students must become a member of the ITF TaeKwon-Do HQ-Korea and for progress for progress with their learned skills, grading tests are a part of the progress and challenge to test students skills both knowledge and ability.
