Kindermusik is a lively music & movement educational program for children - newborn to 6 years old.
Children are natural musicians - they are born recognising patterns and rhythms around them.
At Kindermusik we make sure we capture those magical years when children are at their learning peak by providing fun, active and engaging classes in a loving and nurturing environment.
A mixture of singing, dancing, listening, playing instruments, games and stories - each class is always memorable and exciting!
The theme for our classes change every term, so it's never boring for the kids! One day, we could be listening to train sounds and riding on our 'hayrides', next week, we could be off to the seaside, collecting our pretend seashells and dancing like crabs.
At Kindermusik, we use only high-quality music recording, featuring children, groups and individuals singing a variety of songs, from Australian favourites like 'Kookaburra' to Western Square dances, to folksongs, and African chants.
What makes Kindermusik a very effective program is that the children get to take the music, and some instruments, home, so that they can listen to their music at home or in the car. What they learn in their Kindermusik class is reinforced at home in their own time.
Being able to follow the beat, and singing in a correct pitch, have many advantages for children as they grow up - they develop reading & writing skills early, or hit a ball accurately in the playground. They become better listeners, and early exposure to music gives them the confidence to pick up & try a new musical instrument throughout their lives.

    As a Kindermusik Educator, this has to be one of the most common question I get asked from parents, especially when their child reaches pre-school and Kindy age. While there are always exceptions, in general, my suggestion to parents is to wait until their child is at least 5 or 6 years old.
